Sweetie Darlings! The best news arrived in my inbox this morning, touting pop princess Kylie Minogue’s cover of “This Wheel’s On Fire,” a.k.a. the theme song to ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE. And it’s, of course, bloody brilliant. Listen!
The song, originally recorded by Bob Dylan and The Band, was originally covered for the hit British TV series, first by Julie Driscoll and Adrian Edmonson (Jennifer Saunders’ hubby), and then later by Debbie Harry (who also guest-starred on the 2002 Christmas special) and Edmonson.

The soundtrack (out July 22) also includes songs from La Roux, Paloma Faith, Santogold, co-stars Jane Horrocks (LITTE VOICE) and Julia Sawalha. It will be released in the US on digital format only. The digital version can be pre-ordered from iTunes and Apple Music – “This Wheel’s on Fire” is also available as an instant grat track for those who pre-order the full soundtrack.
