When it comes to taking down an organization, it takes a certain amount of courage to be the whistle blower. And if you were a world-renowned one like the persona the history books refer to as “Deep Throat,” there’s no better actor to play you than badass Liam Neeson. In MARK FELT: THE MAN WHO BROUGHT DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE, he plays the titular character as he exposes the government’s trail of lies that led to the Watergate scandal.

The drama, previously titled THE SILENT MAN, also starsĀ Diane Lane (Unfaithful), Marton Csokas (The Equalizer), Josh Lucas (The Lincoln Lawyer), Tony Goldwyn (ā€œScandalā€), Michael C. Hall (ā€œDexterā€), Tom Sizemore (ā€œBlack Hawk Downā€), Wendi McLendon-Covey (Bridesmaids), Ike Barinholtz (Suicide Squad), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek), Brian Dā€™Arcy James (Spotlight), Kate Walsh (ā€œPrivate Practiceā€), Noah Wyle (W.), and Maika Monroe (It Follows).

The risks this man took are pretty astounding and I, for one, am curious to see how its dramatized. The themes writer-directorĀ Peter Landesman will explore in this piece are certainly timely ones and that should stand to grab your attention, if Neeson’s own special set of skills doesn’t.

MARK FELT: THE MAN WHO BROUGHT DOWN THE WHITE HOUSE will play TIFF. It’s set to open in limited release on September 29.
