Alamo Drafthouse is celebrating October with 31 Days of Horror – Here’s the full list

Preston Barta // Features Editor

DALLAS-FORT WORTH – Oh to be a horror movie fan in the first stretch of fall. From now until Halloween we will see a few spooky titles fit to release during the month of October – such as WRINKLES THE CLOWN (Oct. 4), LITTLE MONSTERS (Oct. 8), THE ADDAMS FAMILY (Oct. 11), ZOMBIELAND: DOUBLE TAP (Oct. 18) and THE LIGHTHOUSE (Oct. 18).

If that’s not enough to wet your whistle, gore-hounds and blood-bathers are in for a busy and exciting month with the Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas in Dallas-Forth Worth hosting a 31-day series of horror movies.

The restaurant and movie theater chain will play at least one scary (or horror-adjacent) feature each day of October. Additionally, there will be special guests making appearances, movie parties, cereal parties (I recommend this one), double features and opportunities for you to geek out over horror films classic and new.

For more information on where and when you catch catch these titles, visit Alamo Drafthouse DFW’s Drafthouse of Horrors webpage, where you can purchase your tickets.

The following screenings will play in the Dallas-Fort Worth area:

Preston Barta

I have been working as a film journalist since 2010, dividing the first four years between radio broadcasting and entertainment writing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In 2014, I entered Fresh Fiction (FreshFiction.tv) as the features editor. The following year, I stepped into the film critic position at the Denton Record-Chronicle, a daily North Texas print publication. My time is dedicated to writing theatrical film reviews, at-home entertainment columns, and conducting interviews with on-screen talent and filmmakers, as well as hosting a podcast devoted to genre filmmaking (called My Bloody Podcast). I've been married for ten happy years, and I have one son who is all about dinosaurs just like his dad.
