What more could you ever ask for?!

We’ve seen the terrible HOT PURSUIT (and if you haven’t, we highly recommend continuing to avoid it), but are you ready for the opposite end of the temperature gauge, COLD PURSUIT? If you loved seeing Liam Neeson kick-ass and execute his very special set of skills on a bunch of baddies, buckle the eff up for Hans Petter Moland’s English language remake of his 2014 Norwegian thriller, IN ORDER OF DISAPPEARANCE, which starred Stellan Skarsgård.

Take a look at the trailer – one set to “Don’t Fear The Reaper.” With all the talk of nicknames in this catching tease, we think Neeson’s pissed off dad will earn that song’s moniker.

Here’s the official synopsis:

COLD PURSUIT, an action thriller infused with irreverent humor, stars Liam Neeson as Nels Coxman, a family man whose quiet life with his wife (Laura Dern) is upended following the mysterious death of their son. Nels’ search for justice turns into a vengeful hunt for Viking (Tom Bateman), a drug lord he believes is connected to the death. As one by one each of Viking’s associates “disappear,” Nels goes from upstanding citizen to ice-cold vigilante, letting nothing – and no one – get in his way.

It’s fitting that Neeson’s cast as it looks like the lovechild of FARGO and TAKEN. We’re on board with the irreverence showcased in the above trailer – and we think you’ll be just as taken (get it?!) with the full length feature.

COLD PURSUIT opens on February 8.
