Ah… the 90’s. It was a time for most of us Gen-X’ers to celebrate the work of two of our most prominent poster children for that era: Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder. Both gave turned in astounding work during this era – films like SPEED (Keanu), REALITY BITES (Winona), POINT BREAK (Keanu), LITTLE WOMEN (Winona), MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO (Keanu), GIRL INTERRUPTED (Winona) and THE MATRIX (Keanu). The dynamic duo has even co-starred together before in such dramas like BRAM STOKER’S DRACULA and A SCANNER DARKLY, though never in a romantic comedy. Not until now. And ladies and gents, this is looking like it’s going to be a very comfortable genre for the both of them.

Get ready for cartoon hearts to shoot out of your ears and eyes when you watch this trailer for their latest, DESTINATION WEDDING, a story about two miserable grumps, who appear to find love together at a, you guessed it, destination wedding. Take a look:

The film that will essentially be saving us from the doldrums of the Summer is written and directed by longtime TV writer Victor Levin, who wrote on such shows as MAD ABOUT YOU, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW and MAD MEN.

Filled with our kind of clever, acerbic wit, an uproarious sense of humor (I laughed A LOT during this trailer) and a pretty swoonworthy cast, DESTINATION WEDDING should be on all of your Summer must-see lists.

DESTINATION WEDDING opens on August 31 – and we are so here for it right now.
