When speaking to a filmmaker like Behn Zeitlin it’s a bit surreal to think about his career trajectory. On a phone call before the New Orleans premiere screening for his second film WENDY —-a reimagining of the fairytale Peter Pan —-there’s an air of relief in his voice. This has been gestating for seven years after his debut feature BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD almost went the distance during award’s season.
