The Entertainment Answer – March and April podcast with Dallas-Ft. Worth Film Critics

Preston Barta // Editor

Every month I have the pleasure of joining Matt Mungle (“The Mungle on Movies,” MungleShow.com) and Bryan Kluger (BoomstickComics.com, HighDefDigest.com) for their weekly podcast called The Entertainment Answer. Each week they discuss the latest in movies, television, gadgets, wrestling — everything related to, well, entertainment.

For this episode, Susan Kamyab (ThisChixFlix.com) and I discussed what movies we’ve loved and hated this month, including LOGAN, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, KONG:SKULL ISLAND and RAW. We also look ahead at what will be hitting theaters as March comes to a close and April peeks around the corner, along with some of the highlights of this year’s South by Southwest Film Festival.

Listen to our full podcast below as some movie nerds geek out.

I have been working as a film journalist since 2010, dividing the first four years between radio broadcasting and entertainment writing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In 2014, I entered Fresh Fiction (FreshFiction.tv) as the features editor. The following year, I stepped into the film critic position at the Denton Record-Chronicle, a daily North Texas print publication. My time is dedicated to writing theatrical film reviews, at-home entertainment columns, and conducting interviews with on-screen talent and filmmakers, as well as hosting a podcast devoted to genre filmmaking (called My Bloody Podcast). I've been married for ten happy years, and I have one son who is all about dinosaurs just like his dad.
