Trailer: The Brothers-In-Law Are Back In ‘RIDE ALONG 2’

Courtney Howard // Film Critic

Migrating to a warmer local seems to bode well for action sequels like BAD BOYS II, 2 FAST 2 FURIOUS and 22 JUMP STREET, so why shouldn’t it work magic for RIDE ALONG 2?

Director Tim Story returns to tell more of the on-going comedic hijinks between the two future brothers-in-law. In this iteration, Ben’s (Kevin “oh dear God Chris Rock please come back” Hart) wedding day is fast approaching when he decides to head to Miami with James (Ice “motherf**kin” Cube), who’s on the hunt to bring down a drug dealer. Obviously, by just looking at the trailer below, it’s not gonna be a simple operation because Ben jeopardizes things – that’s his schtick.

With two of the original four writers returning (Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi), a newer/ hotter location (Miami), and also with new additions to the cast (Olivia MunnKen Jeong, Benjamin Bratt and Sherri Shepherd), this sequel might be bringing bigger laughs and action this time around.

RIDE ALONG 2 opens on the confidence boosting day of January 15.
