True-Life Terrors & Frights Abound In THE CONJURING 2 Trailer

Well, sorta.

As a self-confessed scaredy-cat, most things serve to frighten me. However, since I’ve been at this job professionally (going on six years now), not many films have truly scared the bahjesus out of me – not even the first CONJURING, which to me, was just okay and played more like a greatest hits of horror films past than anything. But it had a helluva fantastic teaser trailer that gave me nightmares for weeks. Let’s revisit it, shall we?!

Now comes director James Wan‘s sequel to the beloved film, THE CONJURING 2, which has Lorraine and Ed Warren (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson) in England, investigating the Enfield Poltergeist.

Though I like what I see here, I’m not sure it’ll be haunting my dreams (day or night). Now that Wan may have homage out of his system – or does he (cough, cough THE EXORCIST) – this could potentially surpass my opinion of the original. Whatever the case, it’ll be a safe bet for Warner Brothers to make lots of cash from CONJURING fans.

To brush up further on this fascinating case, go here to watch the hour long documentary.

THE CONJURING 2 opens on June 10.
