Babes, waves & rays! All a part of your average ‘BAYWATCH’ day

(L-R) Dwayne Johnson as Mitch Buchannon and Zac Efron as Matt Brody in BAYWATCH by Paramount Pictures, Montecito Picture Company, FlynnPicture Co., and Fremantle Productions

BAYWATCH has released a potty-mouthed red band trailer for their big screen comedy BAYWATCH, a raunchcom take on the popular late 90’s/ early aughts TV series – a reboot in the vein of 21 JUMP STREET, a film that made reviving formerly dead syndicated shows look easy. In this new trailer, we hear a shedload of curse words (clear your kiddos out of the room), and see a lot more muscles and bikini-clad babes. It also features a little bit of word-play on the leads’ names. What’s not to love?!

Here’s the official synopsis:

BAYWATCH follows devoted lifeguard Mitch Buchannon (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) as he butts heads with a brash new recruit (Zac Efron). Together, they uncover a local criminal plot that threatens the future of the Bay.

The Seth Gordon-directed picture also stars Priyanka Chopra, Alexandra Daddario (who also starred with The Rock in SAN ANDREAS), Jon Bass, Kelly Rohrbach, and Ilfenesh Hadera.

Comedy is given some CPR when BAYWATCH opens on May 25.
