DIFF Red Carpet Q&A: John & Max Landis On ‘THE BLUES BROTHERS’, Inspiring Films

Last night was the 2015 Dallas Film Society Honors at The Highland Hotel in Dallas.

Presented by the Arthur E. Benjamin Foundation, Sheri Deterling, Geoff Hakwes, and The Highland Hotel, the event is a glamorous banquet designed to honor the winning filmmakers of the 2015 Dallas International Film Festival.

This year’s awards honored many notable filmmakers. One of those filmmakers was John Landis, who is well known for directing THE BLUES BROTHERS, ANIMAL HOUSE and THE THREE AMIGOS.

Fresh Fiction spoke with John Landis and his son, Max Landis (writer of CHRONICLE) on the red carpet last night before the ceremony. We talked about when John realized THE BLUES BROTHERS was more than a come-and-go movie, Max surprising his dad, inspiring films and filmmakers nowadays.
