Jason Statham returns to kick some more ass in ‘MECHANIC: RESURRECTION’

I really dig a good Jason Statham movie, however MECHANIC from 2011, slipped under my radar. If it’s anything like his other movies, I’d bet it’s pretty spectacular. It seems like it played well commercially-speaking because a sequel, MECHANIC: RESURRECTION, has been made.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Arthur Bishop [Jason Statham] returns as the Mechanic in the sequel to the 2011 action thriller. When the deceitful actions of a cunning but beautiful woman [Jessica Alba] force him to return to the life he left behind, Bishop’s life is once again in danger as he has to complete an impossible list of assassinations of the most dangerous men in the world.

Statham may be back at killing and kicking ass, but the film really looks like co-star Tommy Lee Jones’ soul patch threatens to steal the show. I mean…

….Right?! He’s busy resurrecting the ghosts of facial hair trends past. Yeesh!

MECHANIC: RESURRECTION opens on August 26.
