‘JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2’ trailer & poster rock a bruising black & blue hue

After sitting through a handful of “sequels no one asked for” (with only one of them was legitimately great… cough, cough. OUIJA 2) this year, JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 is like a gosh darn life raft we can cling to. The first JOHN WICK was a kick-ass ride and we expect more of that same sense of wonderment from the second chapter in this continuing saga about a skilled hitman (Keanu Reeves) coming out of retirement.

Let the puppies of the world howl, “Avenge me!”

Here’s the official synopsis:

In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick [Keanu Reeves] is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild.  Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.

While I can’t say I love this trailer, as the music it’s set to overwhelms things and doesn’t particularly add interest, I can say I’m SUPER excited to see this film in its entirety. With the same filmmakers back for a second serving, this should be a great jump start to the new year.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 opens on February 10, 2017.
