Patsy & Eddy Are At It Again In The New ‘ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE’ Trailer

Courtney Howard // Film Critic

There’s nothing more that I love than tales of female friendship. That’s one of the myriad of reasons why I connected instantly with the British series ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. The import told of two women’s decades long friendship fueled by fashion, lovers, drugs and booze. It was – and still is – deliciously wicked in its satirical humor. It’s absolutely hilarious what Patsy (Joanna Lumley) and Eddy (Jennifer Saunders) found themselves embroiled in week after week.

Now comes their cinematic journey – and they blessedly haven’t changed AT ALL in these past years we’ve been missing them. Take a look…

It’s a genuine feat to make me laugh at a trailer – and yet here we are, with me in hysterical fits of laughter from all the ludicrous absurdity my favorite pair of ladies have gotten into. I mean, killing supermodel Kate Moss as the catalyst for Patsy and Eddy to go on the lam?! What craziness! I. Love. It. Guys, this is *THE* event movie of the summer – or at least it is for me.

Cheers, Sweetie Darlings!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS: THE MOVIE hits theaters July 22.
