If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I will follow Tina Fey to the ends of the Earth. Not in a creepy, stalker-ish kind of way. No. More in that I will see, support and celebrate everything that she does. If starring in an irreverent black comedy about a reporter in a war torn country is one of those projects, well, then sign me up! Oh look. There’s one now! WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa (CRAZY STUPID LOVE) is adapted from Kim Barker’s book, The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan, by Fey’s frequent collaborator Robert Carlock (30 ROCK) and should definitely ad a highly comedic, satirical edge to what we see in the news. There’s humor in everything, people!
See what I mean? I’m 100% in anticipation for this film. What about you? Did you read the book? What are your thoughts? Weigh in below.
WHISKEY TANGO FOXTROT opens on March 4.
