I’m really having a full circle moment right now. The first movie review I ever wrote for my SRVHS newspaper was for director Richard Linklater‘s DAZED AND CONFUSED. That film has stuck with me for decades – what with my childhood bestie and I quoting lines to each other ad naseum (side note: “Lick me, all of you!”). Years later, Linklater gifts us with somewhat of a spiritual successor to the film that made us feel “alright, alright, alright,” with EVERYBODY WANTS SOME.

While I’m not exactly sure how pull quotes got onto this trailer (as it hasn’t screened at any fest yet), I completely already believe the hype. If he does for the 80’s what he did commemorating the 70’s, I think we’re all in for a good time.

EVERYBODY WANTS SOME opens on April 15.
