TV Review: Tonight’s Episode (No. 8) of ‘UnREAL’ Doesn’t Miss A Step in its Twisted Greatness

One thing we have come to know about UnREAL is that it never misses a step in its twisted greatness. Some episodes are strictly made to make you laugh and entertain you, while others are there to move the story along and take you dark places, as these last few episodes have proved.

Airing tonight, episode eight, is an episode that brings the laughs but also turns the wheel into a darker, more unexpected direction. Last week’s episode left us with many lingering questions, such as: Will Rachel (Shiri Appleby) pick Jeremy (Josh Kelly), or will she continue to see where this undeniable fire between her Adam (Freddie Stroma) leads? And now that Chet (Craig Bierko) has left his wife, what will Quinn (Constance Zimmer) do?

These questions are answered tonight, but in ways that you might not suspect. Lets just say things get a little heated and stuff does indeed go down. We also get insight into how showrunners Marti Noxon and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro plan to continue the show’s arc with its second season next year, but who knows how things will pan out in these final two episodes. But my guess is it won’t leave us disappointed.

UnREAL airs tonight on Lifetime at 10pm/9c.
