Ironic titles are ironic: Tom Cruise returns in ‘JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK’

Despite almost getting buried at the box office because it was released during a bustling holiday season, and having a star whose stature wasn’t nearly the heavyweight status author Lee Child described and readers imagined, 2012’s JACK REACHER did fairly well for itself, taking in $214 million worldwide. I enjoyed it rather immensely when I caught up with it on Netflix instant and was impressed at what Tom Cruise had done with the role – a part I thought, for sure Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would be better suited to play.

Anyways, Reacher has returned and, according to the title, JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK, he should have never gone back. Let’s hope that title won’t be apropos to the finished feature, amirite?

JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK opens on October 21.
