Reaction:
If you’ve seen any Michael Shannon film, you can always expect for him to bring such fierce intensity to his role, and it appears as though he delivers another sitting performance here, which is especially shown during the last line of the trailer. Andrew Garfield, on the other hand, seems to give his most heartbreakingly earnest work yet. It’s thrilling to see him in his first non-webslinging role since 2010’s THE SOCIAL NETWORK.
The film has received high praise during its run on the film festival circuit. So color us excited.
