Castille Landon chats with us about directing food fights and which themes were most impactful.

Anyone looking to reconnect with their youth and former passions or simply enjoy a good time with old friends should try Castille Landon’s Summer Camp for size.

The film releases in theaters this weekend, and it stars Diane Keaton, Alfre Woodward, and Kathy Bates as a trio of friends who reunite at the summer camp that started their friendship 50 years later. While they’ve remained friends throughout the years, relationships and work have gotten in the way of some quality bonding. Old flames like Eugene Levy and Dennis Haysbert’s characters also return to make this an even more exciting trip down memory lane.

Fresh Fiction had the privilege of sitting down with Landon (After Everything) to delve into her personal connection with the movie’s themes. She also shared insights into the creation of a memorable food fight sequence.

Don’t miss the interview below and make sure to catch the film with your own besties this weekend!
