I have been working as a film journalist since 2010, dividing the first four years between radio broadcasting and entertainment writing in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In 2014, I entered Fresh Fiction (FreshFiction.tv) as the features editor. The following year, I stepped into the film critic position at the Denton Record-Chronicle, a daily North Texas print publication. My time is dedicated to writing theatrical film reviews, at-home entertainment columns, and conducting interviews with on-screen talent and filmmakers, as well as hosting a podcast devoted to genre filmmaking (called My Bloody Podcast). I've been married for seven happy years, and I have one son who is all about dinosaurs just like his dad.
Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin (THE SOCIAL NETWORK, THE NEWSROOM) has been talking about his screenplay on the life of Steve Jobs for a while now. It’s been quite a rough path to production – losing Christian Bale as the lead among other things – but now we finally have the first official footage for Universal Studios’ STEVE JOBS.
The trailer gives us a good glimpse at how Michael Fassbender both looks and sounds in the title role. We also see Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple), Kate Winselt as Joanna Hoffman (one of the original members of the Macintosh team), and Jeff Daniels as John Sculley (chief executive officer of Apple).
STEVE JOBS is directed by Academy Award winner Danny Boyle (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE), and based on Walter Isaacson’s biography. The film is scheduled for release on October 9 of this year. Check out the trailer and teaser below.
