Seth Grahame-Smith’s campy novel PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES has gone through a tumultuous time making it to the silver screen; leading ladies signed on then quickly dropped out. Directors had also been leery to sign on. And Smith’s other novel-turned-film, ABRAHAM LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER, didn’t do well at the box office (despite me adoring it for what it is). However, now all that is behind us and we can all FINALLY enjoy seeing the Bennet sisters kick some undead ass.
Regency-era England has never looked so beautiful and scary. The film directed by Burr Steers (and written by Steers and David O. Russell), stars Lily James, Ellie Bamber, Millie Brady, Bella Heathcote, and Suki Waterhouse.
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES opens on February 5, 2016.
