Every generation has its fair share of pop sensations. From Elvis Presley, to David Cassidy, to the boy band explosions of the 80’s and 90’s, to Justin Bieber. Now comes The Lonely Island’s take on pop super stardom with Conner4Real (played by Andy Samberg) in POPSTAR: NEVER STOP NEVER STOPPING. As they say here, “It takes a village to make him look dope.”

Check it (red band, yo’):

and, if you’d rather not have that salty language damage your virginal ears, the green band:

The comedy goes behind the scenes as singer/rapper Conner4Real (Samberg) faces a crisis of popularity after his sophomore album flops, leaving his fans, sycophants and rivals all wondering what to do when he’s no longer the dopest star of all.

Not that it’s a bad thing but Samberg’s cadence sounds exactly like his BROOKLYN NINE-NINE co-star Chelsea Perretti’s. I mean, right?! Regardless, I think I’ll become a #Connfidant come June 3 when the film drops.
